Our hot tips for using and removing tubular mascara

Mascara

You might not have heard of tubing mascara, but it’s popular with makeup artists because it’s gentler on your lashes than regular mascara. Essentially, tubing mascara wraps itself around your lashes forming a tube, whereas regular mascara just paints itself along your lashes. Since it doesn’t rely on thick waxes and pigments (which helps regular mascara to stick to your lashes), tubular mascara is easier to remove.

How do you apply tubular mascara?

You apply tubing mascara in the same way as any other mascara, but it’s best if you jiggle the wand at the base of your lashes to start building up a good base coat. A second coat is much easier to apply with tubing mascara, because it doesn’t form clumps or flakes (another of its great benefits!).

How long does it last?

Tubular mascara is long lasting – it’s waterproof, smudge proof and flake proof. It lasts all day long and well into the night without clumping and doesn’t need a top up coat at all! Tubular mascara is great for keeping you looking fresh all day long.

How do you remove tubular mascara?

Removing this mascara is very easy and even better – you don’t need to spend lots of money on makeup removers! All you need to do is wet your fingers and run them along your lashes, from one side to the other. The mascara will fall off in little tubes quite easily.

Is it good for sensitive eyes?

Generally, this type of mascara is great for sensitive eyes, however it can sometimes cause an irritation in people with very sensitive eyes or who wear contact lenses.

Why not add a tubular mascara to your makeup stash next time you go shopping?
